Guy Edmonds is an International Emmy® award-winning director, writer, creator and script producer working across television, film and books. His work has been produced and distributed internationally across multiple territories, with series recognised by the AACTAs, Australian Directors & Writers Guild, and major global festivals.

 

He is the set-up director and script producer of Caper Crew (2026), a new series from Easy Tiger (Colin from Accounts, Scrublands, Territory), and he's also the set-up director for a brand new, soon to be announced series from Wooden Horse (The Clearing, Mother and Son).

His feature film writing and directing debut, Nest, is currently financing through Mushroom Studios and stars Felix Mallard (Ginny & Georgia). He is attached to direct several other films with Australian and international producers and has original series' and features in active development, including Keepers, an 8 x 45 mystery series with Easy Tiger that he has written and will direct.

 

Guy co-created, wrote and directed on the International Emmy® award-winning and twice Emmy® nominated series Hardball (2021), produced by Northern Pictures and distributed globally by ACTF. Across two seasons, the series won major international awards including the Prix Jeunesse International, BANFF Rockies, The Remis and Japan Prize, and earned him an Australian Directors’ Guild nomination for Best Direction.

 

He also co-created and directed across two seasons of the AACTA nominated series Spooky Files (2024), a BBC/ABC co-production from Tony Ayres Productions and NBC Universal's Matchbox Pictures. He also served as executive producer and writer. He was nominated for his second Australian Directors Guild Award for Best Direction for this series.

 

In addition to his screen work, Guy has co-authored seven books across two acclaimed series, including Zombie Diaries, which has been translated into ten languages. The first book of his debut fantasy-adventure series releases in 2027, published by HarperCollins.

Guy's acting career spans two decades with over fifty credits on stage and screen. Some screen credits include Caper CrewWellmaniaThe Messenger, The Code, Spooky FilesUnderbelly: Razor, Hardball, A Moody Christmas, Home and Away, The Secrets She Keeps and more.

 

On stage, he starred in the world premiere productions of Holding the Man in Australia and London's West End, Rupert in Australia and Washington D.C, USA, a one-man-show of Roald Dahl's The Witches + many more.

 

He is also a voice over artist, having lent his voice to award winning TV and radio campaigns for local and international brands.
